Competitor monitoring for AI search engines

· by Sean Ryan

Spronta competitor drill-down showing a rival's AI visibility vs yours: head-to-head KPIs, a share-of-answers trend chart, and per-engine comparison across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews

The AI Visibility leaderboard already told you who keeps showing up in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews for your buyers’ questions. Now every name on it is a door. Click a rival and you get a full head-to-head dashboard — them versus you.

The head-to-head, at a glance

Their visibility against yours, the point gap, average citation position, and a running record of prompts you lead vs prompts they lead. One line tells you whether you’re winning the category or watching someone else win it.

Where they’re strong, engine by engine

The same rival rarely wins everywhere. The per-engine breakdown shows where they dominate and where the fight is winnable — maybe they own ChatGPT while Google AI Overviews is still wide open. That’s where your next win is cheapest.

Your steal list, prompt by prompt

Every tracked prompt gets a verdict: They lead, You lead, Contested, or Nobody cited — that last one is free territory nobody has claimed yet. Each row links straight to the prompt’s saved answers, so you can read exactly what the engines said before you plan the counter.

The pages doing their work

The most useful part: the competitor URLs the engines keep citing, with how often and at what position. When an AI answer recommends your rival, these are the pages it’s pulling from. Study them, then write the page that beats them — and because Spronta also crawls your site, you can go from “they win this prompt” to fixing the content that should win it, without leaving the app.

No setup needed — if you’re already tracking prompts in AI Visibility, competitor pages are live on your leaderboard now.
