Legal/Acceptable Use Policy

Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 3 May 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) is part of Spronta's Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uses the Spronta platform, including our dashboard, APIs, SDKs, AI agents, and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this AUP.

The short version: use Spronta for legitimate marketing work, don't upload harmful content, and don't abuse our infrastructure. The detail below makes that explicit.

1. Prohibited Content

You must not upload, store, publish, or deliver any content through the Service that falls into the categories below.

1.1 Illegal content

  • Content that violates any applicable law or regulation in any jurisdiction from which it is accessed or delivered
  • Content subject to export control restrictions being transmitted in violation of those restrictions
  • Content that facilitates or promotes illegal activity, including fraud, money laundering, or trafficking

1.2 Content that exploits or harms children

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexually exploits or endangers minors
  • Content that grooms, solicits, or facilitates contact with minors for sexual purposes

We have zero tolerance for CSAM. Any account found storing or distributing such material will be terminated immediately and reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), and relevant law enforcement.

1.3 Violent or hateful content

  • Content that promotes, glorifies, or incites violence against any person or group
  • Hate speech that dehumanises individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age
  • Content that promotes, glorifies, or facilitates terrorism or the activities of designated terrorist organisations

1.4 Content that infringes intellectual property

  • Content that infringes the copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property rights of any third party
  • Content uploaded or distributed without the rights holder's authorisation

1.5 Privacy-violating content

  • Personal data about individuals without a lawful basis for processing and distributing it
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII), commonly known as “revenge porn”
  • Content that facilitates stalking, doxxing, or harassment

1.6 Malicious code

  • Malware, ransomware, spyware, trojans, or any code designed to harm systems or users
  • Content designed to exploit vulnerabilities in browsers, applications, or operating systems
  • Phishing content designed to deceive users into revealing credentials or personal information

1.7 Deceptive or fraudulent content

  • Content designed to impersonate another person, organisation, or brand in a way that deceives users
  • Fabricated or misleading information that could cause real-world harm
  • Content used as part of a scam, phishing campaign, or other fraudulent scheme

1.8 Sexually explicit content

You must not use the Service to store, publish, or deliver pornographic or sexually explicit material of any kind, regardless of whether it is lawful in your jurisdiction. This is not a moral judgement; it is a requirement of our payment and infrastructure providers as a condition of service.

1.9 Financial schemes and gambling

  • Marketing or promoting unregistered cryptocurrency exchanges, token sales (ICOs), or investment schemes that are not compliant with applicable financial regulations
  • Promoting unlicensed gambling, sports betting, or online casino services in jurisdictions where they are not legally permitted
  • Advertising high-risk financial products such as binary options, forex trading schemes, or pyramid and multi-level marketing schemes that are deceptive or unlicensed

2. Prohibited Behaviour

Beyond content restrictions, the following ways of using the Service are not permitted.

2.1 Infrastructure abuse

  • Conducting or facilitating denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks against any target, including Spronta's own infrastructure
  • Attempting to gain unauthorised access to Spronta's systems, other users' accounts, or any third-party systems
  • Deliberately generating excessive load in a way that degrades performance for other users
  • Circumventing rate limits, access controls, usage quotas, or billing mechanisms

2.2 Account abuse

  • Creating multiple free accounts to circumvent plan limits or free tier restrictions
  • Sharing account credentials with individuals outside your organisation
  • Allowing third parties who have not agreed to these Terms to use your account
  • Misrepresenting your identity, organisation, or intended use when registering for or using the Service

2.3 Reverse engineering and competitive use

  • Using the Service to build, benchmark, or improve a competing product or service (see §9.5 of the Terms of Service for detail)
  • Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or extract source code from the Service
  • Scraping or harvesting data from the Service beyond what is permitted by the API documentation

2.4 Resale and white-labelling

  • Reselling, sublicensing, or white-labelling access to the Service without Spronta's prior written permission
  • Offering access to the Service to third parties as a standalone product without a separate reseller agreement with us

2.5 Spam and unsolicited communications

  • Using the Service to distribute spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or unsolicited commercial communications
  • Hosting or delivering assets that form part of a phishing, smishing, or vishing campaign

2.6 Fair and reasonable use

We keep our pricing simple and our limits generous. We don't want you to worry about hitting a wall mid-campaign. That said, our plans are designed for typical marketing platform workloads, and we ask that you use the Service in a way that is fair to other customers.

Occasional spikes are completely fine. We may reach out if your usage is consistently high for several months in a row across any of the following:

  • Agent runs: running a volume of AI agent tasks sustained well beyond your plan's intended scope
  • Content and API operations: consistently generating CMS reads, writes, or API calls at volumes disproportionate to your plan tier
  • Asset delivery and bandwidth: sustained delivery volumes that go significantly beyond what your plan is designed for
  • Storage: using Spronta as a general-purpose file archive rather than for assets and content actively used in your marketing activities or sites

If we reach out, it's not to cut you off. It's to find the right plan for how you actually use the product. We'll always give you ample notice and work with you on a custom arrangement if your needs go beyond our standard tiers.

Sharing a paid subscription with users outside your organisation is not permitted under any plan.

3. AI Feature Restrictions

When using Spronta's AI-powered features, including our content agents and any generative capabilities, you must not:

  • Generate content that would violate any of the prohibitions in §1 of this AUP
  • Generate content designed to impersonate real individuals, including public figures, without their consent, particularly in defamatory or damaging contexts
  • Attempt to circumvent the content moderation systems built into AI features through prompt injection, jailbreaking, or similar techniques
  • Use AI-generated content to create disinformation or synthetic media designed to deceive (deepfakes used to mislead)
  • Generate content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights, including using AI to reproduce copyrighted works in ways that would constitute infringement

4. Enforcement

4.1 Investigation

We reserve the right to investigate any suspected violation of this AUP, including reviewing content, account activity, and usage patterns. We will handle any information obtained in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

4.2 Actions we may take

Depending on the nature and severity of a violation, we may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Issue a warning and ask you to remedy the violation
  • Remove or disable access to specific content
  • Suspend your account temporarily pending investigation
  • Permanently terminate your account
  • Report the violation to law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required by law or where we consider it appropriate

4.3 Notice and opportunity to remedy

Where practical and where the violation does not pose an immediate risk of harm, we will give you notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue before taking action. For serious violations, particularly those involving prohibited content under §1, we may act immediately without prior notice.

4.4 No refunds on termination for breach

If your account is terminated because of a breach of this AUP or the Terms of Service, you will not be entitled to a refund of any prepaid fees.

5. Reporting Violations

If you see content or behaviour on the Service that you believe violates this AUP, please report it to hello@spronta.com. It helps to include:

  • A description of what you are reporting
  • The URL or identifier of the content, if applicable
  • Why you believe it violates this AUP
  • Your contact details so we can follow up if needed

We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. We may not be able to share the outcome with you, but we will always acknowledge receipt.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time to reflect new abuse patterns, legal requirements, or changes to the Service. We will notify you of material changes in line with the notice provisions in our Terms of Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated AUP.
