Bing Webmaster Tools integration

Add Bing clicks, impressions and average position to Spronta audits and Content 360, per URL and alongside Google Search Console.

The Bing Webmaster Tools integration puts real Bing search demand beside each crawled page. Spronta joins clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position to audit findings, so you can see both whether a page works and whether people can find it.

What the integration can do

  • Read verified sites — lists the sites available to your Bing Webmaster Tools account so you can choose the right property.
  • Read page-level search performance — imports clicks, impressions and average position for the trailing reporting window.
  • Combine Google and Bing — if the project also has Google Search Console connected, Spronta combines both engines without replacing either one.

The connection uses Bing’s read-only webmaster.read OAuth permission. Spronta cannot change your site, submit URLs, or edit Bing Webmaster Tools settings.

Connect it

  1. In app.spronta.com, open Plugins and choose Bing Webmaster Tools.
  2. Click Connect, sign in to Bing Webmaster Tools, and approve read-only access.
  3. Choose a verified Bing site and the Spronta project it belongs to, then click Link.

The next time you open a saved report, search performance appears in the Search view and the page’s Discoverability section in Content 360.

Data freshness

Bing updates the page-statistics API weekly. A recent crawl can therefore be newer than the latest Bing performance row; that is expected and does not mean the connection is broken. Spronta filters the returned rows to the report’s trailing window and merges weekly rows into one result per URL.

Disconnecting

Open Plugins → Bing Webmaster Tools and click Disconnect beside the connection. Spronta deletes the encrypted access and refresh tokens; your Bing site and its data are not changed.
